DD Foxx grew up emulating TV commercials and jingles, sparking her passion for singing and song writing. Those humble and honest beginnings as well as exposure to an array of musical influences has helped to shape her style which is described as “a mixture of Pop, Dance, R&B and Funk with a Middle Eastern flavor.”
DD Foxx was ranked #3 in the Urban & Pop genre of the 'Top 20 Best Selling Albums' by UAE artists when she first broke into the MENA market with her CD 'Had To Be Me' (Virgin Megastores). The lead single "Raise The Roof" produced by New York native Kevin Bassett received rave reviews which included a music video choreographed by Emmy Award nominee Luther Brown who has worked with Lizzo, Janet Jackson, Gwen Stefani among others.
Some of DD’s past highlights include being chosen as one of four Dubai artists to showcase for Quincy Jones, Will.i.am and Timbaland as part of the Dubai Music Week.
